Making a layover into a playover: Singapore

Have you ever been traveling internationally, had a layover and debated leaving the airport and exploring the city? Here are some tips for making your layover into a playover and getting two trips out of one!

In April of 2018, I had a layover in Singapore on my trip from Thailand back to the United States. I arrived mid-morning, booked an airport hotel, and hopped on the subway to go into town to explore. I had roughly a day to spend, as I was flying back out in the morning. It was very easy to get into town from the airport. I had heard of the Singapore Gardens by the Bay and figured it would be a quick and easy thing to visit. Unfortunately it was rainy, so I didn’t spend as much time there as I thought I would. Even though the time was short and the weather wasn’t ideal, I got to see a new place and cross a country off of my 55 by 55 Travel Quest List!
